You were probably surprised that there are only a few hands that are played in early position. The reason for this is that a player could raise after it was your turn. If you have the poker chart then you already have a clear advantage over most players who play at tables with low limits, i.e. limits of approximately $.10/.20 - $1/2.
If you play at those tables then it is very rare that the game does not go as far as the showdown. It is therefore not an advantage – at least in the long run – to bluff. It also became obvious at those tables that many players wait for their lucky card. They often call a flop and hope that the card they need is revealed in order to get a strong poker hand.
Sometimes they will be lucky with that but in the long run you can only lose with this. Therefore, it is important that you make your bet or raise when you get a promising hand and do not pretend to slow play because you risk giving a free card to other players. Therefore, the decision with a flop, turn and river is easy: bet, call or raise if you have something useful and fold if you have bad cards.
