4. Texas Holdem rules

In our description of the Texas Holdem rules we often use the most commonly used poker terms that are known in the poker industry.

Before the game starts, the 2 players next to the dealer have to make a forced bet – a so-called blind bet. The first player next to the dealer has to place a small blind bet (half of the minimum bet). The second player has to make a blind bet (minimum bet at the table).
Pocket Cards
Texas Holdem Rules: Pocket Cards
According to the Texas Holdem rules, the dealer uses 52 cards and a maximum of 10 players can participate. Every player initially gets 2 cards that no one else can see.

1st Round
Players can now place their bets. The third person next to the dealer starts. If the game is “limit”, this means that the bet in the first round is equal to the minimum bet. You have the following options: call, raise or fold. All players need to place the same bet or fold (to leave the game) before the game continues.

The Flop The Flop
After the bets have been placed, the dealer puts 3 community cards on the table that everyone can see. This is called the flop. Players can use the 3 community cards in combination with their 2 own cards. The goal is of course to get the best hand.

2nd Round
The person on the left of the dealer opens the second betting round (check or bet). The bet in the second round is the same in the second round as it is in the first round. You have the following options: bet, call, raise or fold. All players have to place the same bet or fold the cards before the game continues.

The Turn The Turn
When a place has finished betting, the dealer reveals another card. This card is called the turn. Now players have 6 cards at their disposal in order to get the best hand possible.

3rd Round
The player next to the dealer starts again. The bet in the third round is twice the minimum bet. You have the following options: bet, call, raise or fold. All players have to wage the same amount or fold the cards before the round comes to an end.

The River The River
After this, the dealer reveals the last card. This card is called the river. Players now have 7 cards at their disposal in order to get the best hand possible.

4th and last round The person to the left of the dealer opens the round. The bet amount is again twice the minimum bet. You have the following options: bet, call, raise or fold. All players have to wager the same amount or fold their cards before the showdown.

Showdown Showdown
The players who are still playing reveal their two hidden cards. The player with the best hand wins everything. In the case of a tie the pot is split. And now you know the Texas Holdem poker rules.
